Compliance
AML & KYC policy
Bananabet plays on a public chain, where every deposit and withdrawal is traceable forever. This policy sets out how we keep the site from being used to move criminal funds, and what we will ask you for if a check is triggered.

1.Commitment
Bananabet Gaming Ltd. operates a risk-based anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing programme. We do not knowingly accept funds derived from crime, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement and regulators where a lawful request is made.
2.Risk-based approach
Ordinary play requires no documents. Checks are triggered by risk, not by routine — the triggers we act on include:
- Cumulative deposits or withdrawals crossing the thresholds set in our internal programme.
- Deposits from addresses associated with mixers, sanctioned entities, darknet markets, ransomware or known theft.
- Patterns consistent with layering — depositing and withdrawing with little or no genuine play, or bets structured to lose deliberately to a linked account.
- Rapid movement of funds through multiple linked wallets.
- Any indication that a third party controls or funds the wallet.
- A jurisdiction, sanctions or politically-exposed-person match.
3.What we may ask for
Where a check is triggered we may request, proportionate to the risk:
- Proof of identity — a government-issued photo document.
- Proof of address, dated within the last three months.
- Proof of control of the wallet — a signed message from the address, which is the cryptographic equivalent of a signature and the first thing we will ask for.
- Source of funds and, where warranted, source of wealth — payslips, exchange statements, trade history or sale records.
Documents are handled under our privacy policy, retained for the statutory period, and used for no purpose other than compliance.
4.Screening and monitoring
Deposit addresses may be screened against blockchain-analytics risk data and against sanctions lists, including those maintained by the UN, the EU, OFAC and the UK. Play and transaction patterns are monitored on an ongoing basis, and a flagged account may have withdrawals held pending review.
5.Restrictions
We do not accept players who are subject to financial sanctions, or who are located in a jurisdiction where we do not offer the service. Accounts found to be in breach are closed; balances are handled according to the law that applies, which may mean funds are frozen rather than returned.
6.Third-party funding
You may only play with your own funds, and withdrawals are paid only to the address you play from. Depositing on behalf of another person, or accepting a deposit on behalf of another, is a breach of the terms of service and is treated as an AML matter.
7.Reporting
Where we have knowledge or suspicion of money laundering or terrorist financing we file a report with the competent authority. We are prohibited by law from telling you that a report has been made, and we may be required to hold funds while it is considered. Nothing in this policy obliges us to explain a decision where doing so would constitute tipping off.
8.Governance
The programme is owned by a nominated compliance officer, reviewed at least annually and after any material change in the law or the risk profile of the business. Staff with access to player funds or documents are trained on it. Records of checks, decisions and reports are retained for the statutory minimum of five years.
